02-03-2021   Former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg is sworn in as Secretary of Transportation by Vice President Kamala Harris. He became the first out Cabinet Secretary. Buttigieg was sworn in using a Bible belonging to his mother, which was held by his husband, Chasten.
